FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Measuring the gymnast

How do I measure the gymnast?

We need four measurements: chest, waist, hip and height. Chest at the fullest part; waist at the narrowest; hip, also at the fullest part; height barefoot, from the head to the floor. The most important one is the hip: it decides whether the skirt lies smooth, with no folds. You'll find the step-by-step guide in how to measure a gymnast.

What should I do if I am between 2 sizes?

You don't have to choose. Put the four measurements in the order and we choose the size: we check it in the workshop before we start making the leotard. And don't order a size up “so it lasts longer”: a leotard that is too big bunches up and shifts in the middle of a routine.

CHOOSING LEOTARD OPTIONS

Can I request modifications such as removing a sleeve or changing a color?

No. Catalog leotards do not accept changes except for orders of more than 25 leotards

How long does my leotard take to arrive?

The time you select on the product page is for making the leotard and starts when we receive payment. The standard production time is 8 weeks. If you need a faster option, choose one available on that product page and check its surcharge.

Shipping time is added after production and depends on the destination. You can find the conditions in our shipping policy. If you pay by bank transfer, the time starts when we receive the funds.

If your order includes items with different production times, we ship everything together when it is ready, unless we agree otherwise. For a competition, allow for production and shipping: choosing an option without decoration does not guarantee faster arrival.

We understand you may be tempted to check on your order, but we appreciate your patience: it lets us put all our energy into making such a special garment for you.

Which decoration should I choose?

On each leotard, the amount of rhinestones applied to the one you see in the photo is indicated. It is possible that for some of them you have options that are no longer available, for example 800AB + 400 color + sew-on rhinestone. If you want it to look as similar as possible, choose an option that is close to this, such as 1000 rhinestones placed. There is no option to make it as you see it if it is not available.

What happens if I order the wrong size for my leotard?

We check your measurements to choose a standard catalogue size before manufacturing. If you entered a measurement incorrectly, let us know as soon as possible by replying to the order confirmation email: if we have not started yet, we will correct it.

Catalogue leotards in standard sizes have a 14-calendar-day withdrawal period from receipt, even when manufactured after ordering. A direct size exchange is separate from a return: you can withdraw where applicable and place another order. See the steps, return costs and exceptions for genuinely personalised products in our returns policy.

Size guarantee: if you entered all four measurements taken as our guide explains and the size still isn't right, we'll take care of it.

I live in a place outside the EU or without VAT (example: Canary Islands). Who pays the import taxes?

In these cases, you are responsible for the costs of customs management and taxes. Normally the transport company will indicate the price to be paid. There are places where there is a minimum below which they do not charge taxes; inform yourself well to avoid surprises.

LEOTARD CARE

My leotard has a zipper ...

We love these leotards; they are usually requested when they have a high neck or a closed neck, but you must keep in mind that zippers are a wear-and-tear element and they do break. Take off the leotard very carefully; normally breakages occur when forcing the garment to take it off without help. Remember that if it breaks and we have to repair it, there is an additional cost that VINKOVA does not cover. PLEASE BE CAREFUL!

Be careful with necks and leg openings

Our manufacturing uses a transparent thread; it has a very good aesthetic result, but it is a delicate thread, so BE CAREFUL WHEN PUTTING ON AND TAKING OFF THE LEOTARD. Ask your teammate for help; if you force it, you will surely break it.
In case of breakage, we recommend doing a few hand stitches; you can go to any workshop near where you live or we can manage it, but it has shipping and repair costs.

Do NOT get the fringes wet

When you wash the leotard, if it has fringes, do not get them wet; they will fray and be ruined.

Sew-on rhinestones

We attach the “sew-on” rhinestones with an adhesive that works very well, not with thread. With use, some may come off; if you think an area will get more wear or you prefer to play it safe, we recommend sewing them on.
