Accessories
From €3,00

Rhythmic gymnastics accessories for everyday training: toe shoes, leg warmers, knee pads, back warmers, training wear and covers for leotards and apparatus, plus little extras such as cushions and keyrings. Almost everything is our own design, in girls' and adult sizes and from €3, made to match the colours of our leotards and complete the training bag.
Rhythmic gymnastics accessories are the small pieces that hold a gymnast's week together: toe shoes, leg warmers, knee pads, back warmers, shorts and crop tops, covers for the leotard and the apparatus, and the essentials of the kit bag. They cost little next to a leotard, and yet they are what gets used most — and what is missed first when missing.
The four essentials
- Toe shoes — they protect the forefoot from carpet friction and let her pivot cleanly. The first accessory any coach asks for.
- Leg warmers — they keep muscles warm through warm-up and waiting. From October to March, in a cold arena, they are not optional.
- Knee pads — they cushion floor work and prevent carpet burns, the most common minor injury in rhythmic gymnastics.
- Back warmers — they keep the lower back warm between sets. One of the cheapest ways to look after a gymnast's back.
Protecting what you already bought
A competition leotard with crystals and a taped hoop are two of the most expensive things in the bag, and they travel together inside it. Leotard covers stop crystals snagging and stop the garment arriving creased; apparatus covers protect hoops, clubs and ribbons from knocks and dust. It is the spend that adds the most life to everything else.
Training clothing
Shorts, crop tops, halters, bodysuits and technical tees for sessions without a leotard. They mix and match, wash separately, and extend the life of the good leotard. See training clothing.
Frequently asked questions
What accessories does a beginner need?
Toe shoes and leg warmers cover 90% of the first year. Knee pads if her group does a lot of floor work. Everything else can wait.
How are they washed?
By hand, cold water, neutral soap, dried flat. No tumble dryer, no iron, no bleach: heat ruins elastics and silicone bands.
How often are they replaced?
Toe shoes and leg warmers are consumables: once or twice a season depending on training hours. Covers last for years.
