How to measure a gymnast

Step 1/4 - Measure the chest
To measure the chest correctly, place the measuring tape around the fullest part of the chest.
Step-by-step instructions:
- The gymnast should stand relaxed with arms at her sides.
- Pass the tape around the back and bring it forward, encircling the chest at its fullest point.
- Ensure the tape is straight and parallel to the floor, neither too high nor too low.
- The tape should be snug but not tight, allowing for normal breathing.
- Record the measurement in centimeters.

Step 2/4 - Measure the waist
To measure the waist correctly, place the measuring tape around the narrowest part of the waist.
Step-by-step instructions:
- The gymnast should stand relaxed with arms at her sides.
- Pass the tape around the back and bring it forward, encircling the waist at its narrowest point.
- Ensure the tape is straight.
- The tape should be snug but not tight, allowing for normal breathing.
- Record the measurement in centimeters.

Step 3/4 - Measure the hip
To measure the hip correctly, place the tape measure around the part of the hip with the greatest volume.
Step-by-step instructions:
- The gymnast must be standing, relaxed, and with her arms at her sides.
- Pass the tape around the back and bring it forward, encircling the waist at the most prominent area.
- Make sure the tape is straight and parallel to the floor.
- The tape should be snug but not tight, allowing for normal breathing.
- Record the measurement in centimeters.

Step 4/4 - Measure the height
We need the distance from the top of the head to the floor, with the gymnast completely upright.
- Place the gymnast standing, barefoot.
- She must remain straight, with feet together, legs straight, and looking forward.
- Make sure the back is upright and the head is aligned with the body, without tilting forward or backward.
- Utilize a wall as a reference: The gymnast should lean gently against the wall with heels, back, and head straight.
