Technology and Precision: Why choose Dvillena & Vinkova Clubs?
In rhythmic gymnastics, clubs are the apparatus that requires the greatest psychomotor coordination and rhythmic precision. At Vinkova Leotards, we have joined forces with Dvillena to offer a club with bicomponent technology designed for high competition. Unlike traditional rigid plastic clubs (which bounce excessively and are painful on impact) or full rubber ones (which can be too flexible), our clubs combine an indeformable thermoplastic body with rubber heads.
This fusion of materials offers two critical advantages for the gymnast:
- Safety in reception: The rubber head absorbs the impact, protecting both the gymnast from traumatic blows and the competition floor.
- Precision Interlocking System: Our design allows the clubs to be joined with a firm and secure "click." This is essential for executing block throws and complex rotation figures without the risk of the clubs separating in the air, a key factor in increasing the Difficulty (D) score in the scoring code.
Size Guide and FIG Regulations 2025-2028
Choosing the correct length is vital to avoid penalties and injuries. A club that is too long can hit the chin during mills, while a short one makes handling difficult.
How to get the size right? Fully extend your arm and measure the distance from the center of the palm of your hand to the middle of the biceps. The club should not exceed that length or touch your nose when flexing the elbow.
Quick references by height:
- For gymnasts under 130 cm: We recommend the 36 cm size. Ideal for Iniciación, Benjamín, and Alevín categories.
- For gymnasts between 130 cm and 150 cm: We recommend the 41 cm size. Common in Infantil and Cadete categories.
- For gymnasts over 150 - 160 cm: We recommend the 45 cm (450 mm) size. Standard for Junior, Senior.
Note: All our clubs marked with the "FIG Seal" option strictly comply with the minimum weight of 150g and the dimensions required by the International Gymnastics Federation for official competition.
Apparatus Maintenance and Decoration
To guarantee the longevity of your clubs and maintain their grip, follow these professional tips:
- Cleaning: Wash your clubs only with lukewarm water and a small amount of neutral soap. Use a soft sponge and dry them immediately with a microfiber cloth. Never use alcohol or abrasive products, as they degrade the shine of the plastic and can make the rubber ends sticky.
- Storage: Always store them in a protective cover to avoid scratches from other apparatus inside your backpack.
- Decoration (Taping): If you decide to tape your clubs to match your leotard, remember that the weight of the adhesive tape adds to the apparatus. Our white clubs are the perfect base ("blank canvas") for creative personalizations. When applying the tape, make sure not to cover the interlocking system so as not to lose the joining functionality.
